Phew! 2015 is gone but what a year it has been. It was the year of the good, the bad, the ugly, the awesome and the damn outrageous. And where would you have found all these if not on the hot plate of entertainment. Too much went down that is almost impossible to put a single tag on them all. However, Potpourri will try to serve you some that came out of its kitchen. Check it out:
1. No man can handle me apart from my husband – Omotola
Super screen diva, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde doesn’t always blow her trumpet. In fact to get an interview with her may be something as easy as running a camel through the eye of a needle. Potpourri did in 2015. Unlike many of her previous interviews Omotola revealed some things we never knew about her.
She told us how she stays off scandals, her relationships with other actors in the industry and many more. When asked if she would have been married now if she had married so early, she replied : “ I don’t think so, because I don’t think there is any man that can handle me apart from my husband. Not because I am a bad person, it is because I am a very strong personality. I can understand why a lot of female artistes find it very difficult to find the right person.
When you achieve some kind of success, you become really confused as to who really loves you for who you are. It’s not really easy, it is very hard finding those people who really love you. If you are not a very grounded person, you can also contribute in some kind of way to your own problems and so I might have contributed to my own problems”.
2. I used to beg for money to eat – Tonto Dikeh
For Tonto Dikeh, it seems the side that is well known is the wild one.Controversial as many may think this singer and actress is, she does have her subtle side and she laid it on the line for everyone to see in an Instagram last year, telling us her story of humble beginning.
At the age of twenty, I said to myself ‘I wouldn’t ask my dad for money- I wanted to be independent. I tried traveling to UK but I got refused at Nigerian Embassy, not because my documents were not complete but because I didn’t have the connection to pass through” she stated
“University life was so hard for me, handouts I could not afford, I begged from hand to mouth just to eat! Sometimes, I considered going back to my dad but ego and pride wouldn’t let me”.
“Then, all my jeans were Alaba bend-down-select. If the jeans was longer than me I would cut it to my size to make it look rugged! If I asked friends for a favour, before they helped they would ask me to do something for them in return, like cleaning their rooms, or helping with course work” she added.
3. I don’t mind plastic surgery to reduce my boobs – WAJE
Soul Diva, Waje is open to the idea of having plastic surgery on her breasts, but not the one you have in mind. The singer revealed in 2015 that rather than breast enhancement surgery, she would like to have breast reduction surgery.
She made the revelation on MTV Base Word On The Street with VJ Stephanie while responding to a question from Twitter user @kazzang, “Would you ever consider plastic surgery?” Clarifying why she would like to have breast reduction as against enlargement, she jokingly remarked to an amused Stephanie,”As me and you are sitting down here, don’t you like that they are seeing your face? Do you want me to cover the screen?”
4. No breastfeeding for my kids – Cossy
Commotion Cossy as I like to call her can never be seen without her humongous boobs getting in the way. In 2015 she told us how much she cherish her mammary so much that she has ruled out breastfeeding her kids. Why? She doesn’t want to lose the boobs! “ I am so grateful to God for this lovely boobs. Though sometimes they are such a burden. The load gets big but I love them” she says.
“ In ten years my boobs will still be firm and good because I will use sucker to pull the milk for my kids. No direct sucking. No breastfeeding” she quips. Then, she added a line that must have got some guys day-dreaming “OMG My boobs fell out again yesterday at TBS. I was so shy of myself as a guy helped package it for me “
5. I love to be kissed — Eva
Female hip hop star, Eva Alordiah is no doubt one of the sexiest divas taking Nigerian hip-hop to enviable heights. However, she revealed her romantic side recently when she took to Instagram to declare that she loves to be kissed.
According to her: “I love to be kissed. More importantly, I love to be kissed on my lips. But if ever I were mad at a lover, all he had to do to get me to surrender was to kiss me many times on my neck. For there, right there is where all my mumu buttons reside”.
