Pro Biafra campaigners defy army, protest in Aba

Defying several warnings by Nigeria’s military, thousands of protesters took to the streets in Aba  on Wednesday to demand the release of a Pro-Biafra  activist who operated a pirate radio station and championed  the resuscitation of  Biafra, that became history in 1970.
Some 2,000 people carried placards with slogans such as “Biafra or death” and waved the Biafran flag — a golden rising sun on red, black and green.

Remi Tinubu Raises a Storm at Senate Plenary

Wife of APC leader Senator Oluremi Tinubu on Wednesday raised a storm at the senate assembly when she sat on the chair meant for Ike Ekweremadu, deputy senate president. 


According to The Cable, Tinubu was rebuked by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senators, when she stood up to speak while standing in the deputy senate president’s corner.
