Jesse Jagz is currently not feeling contented at his present record label, according to his recent activity on social media.
The rapper left Chocolate City in 2013 after feelings of discontent at his stagnation. He moved on to create his record label,Jagznation. After the release of two albums, “Thy Nation Come”and “Royal Niger Company”, he returned back to Chocolate City and was part of the group LP “The Indestructible Choc Bi Nation”.
The rapper has since not released any material, although he has elaborate plans for two albums and a mixtape. The rapper clearly isn’t pleased with this, and has taken to Instagram to comment on it.
“We got two Albums 'Thy Nation Come JagzNation Vol.1 & Royal Niger Company" within a year during the years of JagzNation.” Jesse stated while sharing screenshots of both albums.
“This is exactly what I really want to be doing, giving you guys (my fans, JagzNation family) good music steadily. But.... Let me not go into details here.” He further stated.
“JagzNation is real. Thank you all for supporting me and having the patience . Love you all.”
The rapper further shared more creatives which had the message “JagzNation Is Alive”, leading to speculations about his status at Chocolate City.
In June 2015, Jesse Jagz was part of the restructuring of Chocolate City, as longtime CEO, Audu Maikori moved up the ladder to become group President, with M.I Abaga, made CEO, and Ice Prince taking a step up to become Vice President.
The label currently has 13 artistes on its roaster, and handles management for Afrobeat icon, Femi Kuti.
