Rapper Olamide Loses Dad

YBNL Records boss, Olamide also known as ‘Baddo’ has lost his father to the cold hands of death. 

 

Olamide who recently released his 5th studio album, Eyan Mayweather, broke the sad news to his fans through his Instagram page earlier today, November 26, 2015. He posted a dark image with the solemn message:

Three governors of Oyo, Lagos and Osun and other prominent personalities paid their last respect to the matriarch of the Awolowo family, Late Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo at her lying-in-state at Tribune House in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

Governor Abiola Ajimobi and his wife who were the host were joined by Governors Ruaf Aregbesola,  Akinwumi Ambode and their wives to mourn the deceased.

High cost of marriage, funeral ceremonies in Igboland worrisome – Forum

A group of participants at a forum organized by the Voices for Change Programme Nigeria, have expressed concern over the rising cost of marriage and funeral ceremonies in Igboland, calling on stakeholders to take a definite stand on the matter.

Speaking in Enugu at the official presentation of the landmark research report on: “Being a man in Nigeria: Perception and Realities”, the participants identified such economic burden as one of the major reasons behind short lifespan of men.
