H.I.D Awolowo Lying-In-State In Ibadan

Three governors of Oyo, Lagos and Osun and other prominent personalities paid their last respect to the matriarch of the Awolowo family, Late Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo at her lying-in-state at Tribune House in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

Governor Abiola Ajimobi and his wife who were the host were joined by Governors Ruaf Aregbesola,  Akinwumi Ambode and their wives to mourn the deceased.

The first lying-in-state was in Lagos on Sunday, November 15 at the Awolowos residence in Park Lane, Apapa that threw huge sympathizers that came to pay their last respect to woman that was fondly called ‘Mama Awolowo’.

Mama Awolowo passed on at the age of 99 on Saturday, September 19, as preparations for her centenary birthday were in top gear.From November 17-24, there will be another lying-in-state at Ikenne, the home town of the Awolowos.

 Meanwhile, Pastors E. A Adeboye , Tunde Bakare of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and Latter Rain Bible Church will join 60 anointed Anglican bishops to participate in the two-week burial programme of the late late Awolowo.

Tokunbo Awolowo-Dosumu, daughter of the deceased, revealed that the two ministers of God are among the several clerics participating in the programme.
