Man Dies In Brothel In Osun

The death of an unknown man in a brothel in Osogbo, Osun State, is causing panic among sex workers and operators of brothels as they have left their posts, possibly to evade arrest.

It was gathered that the mysterious death of the man at a brothel called Morak located at Ago Wande Area in Osogbo has brought activities in the area to the lowest ebb.

According to sources near the brothel, no one could tell the exact time the incident occurred, but many residents of the neighbourhood said they got hint of the death of a ‘customer’ when they noticed that inhabitants of a storey building that housed the prostitutes had deserted the place.
Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kola Shodipo, confirmed the incident and restated the resolve of the command to unravel the mystery behind the incident.

In a related development, a married woman based in Lagos State simply identified as Damilola also died at the residence of her lover in Osogbo.
Damilola, who was said to be around 25 years old, was said to have had a misunderstanding with her husband and left Lagos for Oye Ekiti where her in-laws reside and later joined her mother at Ifaki Ekiti where she spent some days.
She was said to have left Ifaki for Osogbo on the pretext that she had a wedding ceremony to attend but instead landed at her lover’s place where she allegedly spent some days.
It was gathered that she left the place for another lover’s place but started complaining of stomach ache and was rushed to a private hospital where she eventually died.

A source at the Criminal Investigation Department told our correspondent that relations of the deceased had travelled down to Osogbo to identify her remains. The source said that police insisted that an autopsy must be carried out on the corpse to ascertain the cause of her death.
