Siasia's mother kidnapped in Bayelsa

Coach of Nigeria’s national U23 football team, Samson Siasia’s mother Madam Ogere has been kidnapped by unknown men, just 24 hours after the gaffer suffered a terrific trip to Gambia.

The abductors stormed her residence in Odoni village, Saghama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State on Monday and forced her out of the apartment against the passionate plea of her husband.

It was gathered that the kidnappers had laid siege to the house before striking when most residents of the town were asleep. And she was whisked away on a motorbike to an unknown destination.

Madam Ogere is a renowned politician in Bayelsa state and she will be contesting for the governorship seat in the gubernatorial election billed for Saturday.
Samson Siasia, who is presently in Gambia preparing his team for the CAF U23 Championship, will be going through yet another tragedy in two days after the Arik Air aircraft conveying the team from Lagos lost a tyre on landing at the Kotoka International Airport, Accra on Sunday.
The airplane that was on ground in Accra was then deployed for the purpose of flying the team to The Gambia, but that also developed fault on take –off and the pilot had to make a quick return.

However, Arik provided another aircraft that flew the delegation to The Gambia through Dakar.
